Is it worth not buying a firebird just because it doesn't have Y87 with it? The car in question is this one 1998 Firebird
I e-mailed the guy and he said before he had the flowmasters on it was a single outlet. A clear indicator of a non-Y87 bird? It is manual so all of those come with 3.42s correct? What I'm missing out on then is the quicker steering ratio and the differential. Granted I could install my own differential I have no clue as to how to get the quicker steering ratio.
I suppose there isn't a night and day difference between a Y87 bird and a non-Y87 bird. I just don't want to go in and buy the wrong car for me. And what I want is the epitomy of stock v6 firebird performance.
