Well then go out and test drive a GT then test drive a LS1 F-body and see what you think..
    I have. LS1, LS2, LT1, 5.0, 99+ 4.6 and 05 um, whatever the engine size is in the new GT's, lol.

    Not trying to stir up some more ****, but someone hit the nail directly on the head when they said driving a mustang is like driving an escort with balls. Unfortunatley thats why it sold so well. Because it was more practical like a sedan then sporty, so it drew a bigger crowd.
    </font>
i fell they same way about it felling like a sedan and have said it in other posts. its just not for me and i have driven all the cars just like you have in adition to the LS6. i personally fell that driving the cars with LS1s, LS2s and LS6s are more fun....for me

      Actually the LS1 was made in and in the vettes and GTO's..
      Really are you sure? :eek: I mean I didn't know that!

      The LS1 f-bodies are becoming cheap too.. Did you check out the links I posted??
      Find me a normal titled 2000+ ls1 anything with ~50k on it for $8k and with a manual transmission.

      I know the ls1 outperforms the mustangs for sure, but it is not as good of a value. imo... And since 90% of us own v6s, seems money is an issure to us all.

      Sure I woudl love a ls1, but seems like the things I want in one, cost like alot more, then I feel the car is worth.

      Ls1 Gto I feel is a decent buy for the price. Same with the LS1 vettes... but not sure I want a high mileage C5 as a daily driver those things will get expensive to maintain.
      </font>
I bought my 2000 T/A for 7500.00 It had 58,000 on it when I got it.. Its a 6 speed.. They are out there you just have to be looking.. I got my car from Mayland..
      </font>
Find me one and I will buy it...

      ....waiting for links of great deals in lousiana

      • just did a search of the entire united states in autotrader for any 2000-07 trans am, formula, Z28, with a v8, less then 75,000 miles and manual transmission, for up to $10k.

        found nothing.

        • just found 6 2000 only, nothing newer for $12k, Ls1s in the country. ranging 11,500-12,000

          I found 6 Mustangs, 2 of them within 200 miles of me for prices ranging $7,700-9,000

          all under 75k, and some of them are 02s. One was even a convertable.

                    this 4.6 vs. ls1 is almost as entertaining as the LT1 vs. LS1 arguement.

                          • The best price LS1 I've seen is a 98 Formula with a hard top and manual that sells for $4200 with 145K.

                            The car was completely stock and drives really good. Not as fast as my V6 though. I wanted to buy it but it'll just end another money pit for me when it comes to modding.
