I can't imagine it's too difficult. Since the 4.6 is an SOHC personally, I'd do a cam swap while you'r at it.

One thing to remember, the internals of the 4.6 can only handle about 400RWHP safely.

incorrect, just cam the bird and hang with lt1s and stock ls1s if youve got the supporting mods and driving ability

I wouldn't think so, the cams are in the heads.

I just looked it up on the map were your city is.. From there its like a 6 1/2 hour drive to Norfolk.. If you want anyone of these cars Then drive down here and get them.. Call me up and I will meet with you when you get here and take you to the dealerships.. These older LS1 cars sell pretty cheap down here.. Hell I picked up my 02 WS6 with 36,000 on it for 15,000!!

LS1s may have more power and are faster, but I've driven both and personally think stangs are more fun to drive.

Everyone has there opinions.. I have driven both also and prefer the LS1's over the GT's.. I find a F-body is more fun to driver, everything in the car is in a better location, I hate cable clutchs, I hate the position of the shifter in the mustangs, and I hate how High you sit in the mustangs.. I want a sports car I want it to feel like your driving a sports car.. in the mustang it feels like your driving a escort with a V8!! Thats my opinion..

That 99 T/A blue books at 12,400.. they are selling it for 8,000.. thats a steal.. you can probably still talk them down too!!

wow.. those are some killer deals on LS1s.. I wish they had deals like that in my area. I decided not to rush into buying the car. I am going to keep looking around and wait for a good deal. I like the way mustangs drive, but I have never driven a V8 LS1 so I need to test drive one before I go spending 10k. Hopefully they will put one up for sale soon.. I am looking.

I am considering comeing fown to VA for that Z28 with 50k.. that is a killer deal!
