Yea, you said all the H/C cars you see are 10s. And if the stock internal record is 11.2 that means te 10 second ls1s are not stock internals.

But if you're sinking that much money into a car, then it doesn't matter if its ford or GM because they're both gonna be just as fast.

The car has stock heads, stock, cam, with full bolt on running a 11.6... He is probably making 350-370rwhp.. Then 3 posts down is a guy who ran a 11.9 with 342rwhp!! Show me a bolt on 4.6 mustang GT that runs 11's?? you cant.. Hell show me a bolt on 4.6 that runs mid 12's!! Its very hard to find..

Car weighs 3260 with me in it.
That's what? 400lbs off of stock? That's alot of weight reduction man. That's not what I would exactly call a streetable car.

Listen man, we went over this already. MODULARS DON'T RESPOND WELL TO BOLTONS. They're pretty much tapped out NA from the factory. However you slap a blower on a modular, and you'll get almost a 170RWHP gain.

So what we have determined is that when Ford or GM wants a good OHC motor they go overseas to get it done!! I dont blame them.. And yes the Cobra motors are bad a$$ motors and before the LS7 The 03-04 cobra motors were my fav motor out there.. and the reason we are talking about 2v is because the dude was looking to get a GT mustang..

[/QUOTE]That dude in that post that runs 11.9 his car weighs in at 3440 without him in it!! his screen name is demonicbird00..Do i think his car is streetable.. well take a look at the pics and you tell me!!

and actually its only 200lbs off since his car only weighs 3340 since its a formula!! so 200lbs off a car that is very streetable!! I shaved 200lbs off my V6.. Hell Kemember, A arms, and skinnies up front that a weight savings of 100lbs right there.. take out your spare tire and jack, ac, back seat, and weld wheels in the back and theres another 100lbs gone.. Now you tell me is that streetable?? especially when his car only has boltons!!

Where did Ford go overseas to design their motor? They didn't.... They have their parts cast and built overseas - yes... But Ford for their OHC motors design them inhouse, which GM finally did on the ecotec..... And Ford assembles, in house.. Unlike GM did with the ecotec.

The LT5 was outsourced completely, design and production aspect, to Lotus.

Look at the past motors Chevy has designed in house, and built in house... OHC... The Twin Cam 2.4 and the quad-4 motors... And lets just say those two didn't exactly help their reputation for reliability now did it? haha...

And no, I wouldn't exactly say they're taxed 100% from the Factory for NA, they're just not designed to be a poor-mans Corvette like the f-body was, the Mustang is still around because it wasn't as powerful, got better mileage, rode nicer, sat better.......
          Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D

Your right!! the F-body is a cheaper vette!! the mustangs on the other hand is designed to be a poor mans car.. The reason its still around is because its a cheap a$$ car that anyone can afford!! thats why.. Not because its slow, or gets better gas miles its because its a cheap A$$ car!!

Sorry, look at sales figures and why people bought it over Camaros and Firebirds. Thats also why more women drive Mustangs than f-bodies -- they are much NICER for a daily driver when it comes down to ride quality and comfort.

I didn't mean 100% taxed out. But H/C won't get you near as much as it will with an LS1.

Then again, Ford didn't overbore their cylinders and say it's normal either.

I don't care what you say, the ride of a mustang > Fbody. I can tell you one thing, nothing like having a 2 car length blindspot in an fbody and breaking your neck every time you want to change lanes though...

This argument is just so stupid. You can do xxx to an LS1 and I can do xxx to my modular.

Is the modular better? Is the LS1 better? They're the same once you start dumping money into them...

Cool for a daily drive I will pick up a mustang but when I want to go fast I will drive my F-body!!
