And you know what? I was a die hard GM guy to. Then I realized that being brand loyal is stupid.

I didn't know that you had to have an Fbody to be friends with people on this board. Damn, I should have left years ago.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. V6 Fbodies aren't even a race for me. You must have never raced a 99-04 manual GT with a good driver before...

Good job on getting a 99+ over the SN95 model, you won't regret it. I agree that brand loyalty is stupid, but I do like GM a lot. They just do stupid annoying stuff sometimes... like putting a 7.5" rear in a v8 f-body and the 12 bolt. Gotta love Ford at least for thier rear ends. (that didn't sound right) A buddy of mine ran consistant 13.7 with only drag radials on his GT. It was a 5-speed and not convertible though.

Glad to see you decided to go with the '99. What you're enjoying the most about that '99 is the torque. Now that you have expereinced it you won't want to ever get a car without it...... your hooked.

Yea, nothing like having instant torque at 2k. I don't even have to downshift to pass people anymore.

man if every f body v6 owner who had problems bailded out and got a gt, this would have been a stang board long ago.

                          what's the deal. just rebuild

I like the red, looks great. A kid at my school (sorta friend) just got a dark red (burgandy?) V6 Mustang, I'm in love with the color. It may be slower than my car, but it looks just as good.

LOL, coming for a girl who almost traded her v6 in for a brand new GT not that long ago!

The whole GM vs Ford thing is a bunch of crap, why can't people like both? Both have their own pros AND cons it comes down to what you like to drive. I don't need to be brain washed into being told what's better.

Matt good luck with your new car.
