3 weeks ago, my mom's friend's son woke up one morning and found a dog laying in his back yard. He lives in the mountains or rural west virginia. He posted "Dog found" posters all over the place, but no one responded.
On monday he brought it to his mom's house, who lives down the street from me. She was gonna take it to the pound today. I went to take the dog for one last walk today before it went to the pound (to it's death).
I walked the dog to my house and tied it up on a tree in my yard. I opened the garage door and rolled my camaro out into the driveway to work on it for a while. THe dog ran toward the car, broke the CHAIN leash that was holding it, and leapt into the passenger seat of my camaro. It refused to budge.
Now, twelve hours later, the dog is strangely attached to me. It barks, cries, throws a fit, etc... if I get out of it's sight. It stays right by my left ankle wherever I go.
It is currently sleeping by my feet as I type this sitting in my room. The neighbor lady told me to keep it.
THis dog is acting like I raised it from day one, when I have only known it for a few hours.
It is a 60lb black lab. Judging by it's huge feet and endless energy supply, I am guessing that it is about 1 year old.
