I think my PS/2 mouse port just took a crap...OR recommend me a good wireless combo..

So I finally get sp1 installed (don't ask), and the system is STABLE (no blue screens) running the new video card.

Well, I'm browsing this morning and the mouse starts getting iffy. Then just stops altogether. Okay, Shut it off, start up again. Wouldn't budge. Tried two different PS/2 mice that i KNEW worked, no dice. plugged in a serial mouse (no wheel!) and it works fine. I checked in hardware, it doesn't detect a mouse or ANYTHING hooked up to PS/2 mouse device. Is there a chance something could have fried the ps2 mouse port? the Keyboard works just fine.
:mad: :mad: I'll never buy a factory refurb'd mother board again.

any ideas folks?

I'd rec. a USB mouse. Anything from Logitech would be good but their MX series is just awesome!
