Hi all, thanks for your replys to what I should do with my firebird to start with. I got a cat back exaust yesterday, and got two oval tips, like the Trans Ams have. Looks good [img]smile.gif[/img] ! I can't reply to you all real quick, I don't have a computer yet. Bummer. I use the libraries on Sat or sunday. I got caught at work using the bosses computer to read the message board here. They kinda got mad. I told them that if they let me, I could get to work faster [img]smile.gif[/img] ! You all seem like a cool bunch. Im gonna change the air cleaner box thing next week. Do I get rid of that black box between the airbox and the throttle body? What is it? If so, does it (new part) come with something to do that? I figured you all would know. Hi to jessica #1 here. Yeah it will get rid of that black thing between your airbox and throttle body.. Its called a air baffle.. I think its used to make less intake noise from the motor sucking.. Most people want a car that isnt loud and that box takes away the intake noise.. It also robs some Horsepower from your car cause it acts as a air restriction.. The new air box will just be a lid and a intake hose.. You will notice about a 5-10 hp gain from it and it will make the intake a little louder meaning yu can hear the intake sucking a lot better and will also help with the exhaust tone because more air in more air out.. What kind of exhaust did you go with??

I put on a factory v8 muffler cuz I don't like the loud ones. He said he would change it if I wanted to later for free. Flowmasters are too loud for me. Thanks for letting me know on that part. who makes a new box w/ filter and all, not just a lid, that bolts on? :love:jessica :)

Its better if you get rid of that air baffel all together.. You will get more power and better gas miles from it not being on.. SLP makes a lid, Whisper makes a lid, Just check out thunderracing.com, or whoever else is in our sponsor section..
