I meant the shipping for the hood that is on sale, according to the UPS shipping calculation it would cost me 39.60 to ship that $3,000.00 hood to my house. Must be a really crappy box.
I don't have an aftermarket hood, can't find one that I like.

Auctually I can agree with the title of this thread. The Dumbarse's out there are bidding way too much for outdated stuff like old Palm PDA's. Make it tough for a cheap guy like me to get slightly outdated technology cheap so I can keep track of my troops (and get LS1M for my L67.. hehe) :D

This is nothing. My uncle makes his living selling on ebay (he actually works for a retail company thats expanded to ebay) so far his best is selling plastic cups he got for free for 10$ EACH. DRINKING cups. Then, most of his items have buy it now prices. Well, turns out that if you bid OVER the buy it now, it goes away. How many times do you think he's sold the 30$ item for 50-75$?

Not surprising! People can be quite retarded. They get all competitive and don't want to "lose" and end up paying out the pants for stuff. I need to start selling things on there (aside from the little things I had lying around). My best was a Sephiroth action figure from Japan that I bought for $8 back in 97 or 98, and it sold for around $65 last year... kinda miss it now though... lol.
