• Why did i not go into the army...

i swear viper came into my work today cause I had a guy come into my dealership today and trade in a red 04' corvette for a yellow, convertable 06' corvette and paid in military issued cash. the worst part, i swear this kid was not even old enough to drink legally.
here i work my *** off at work and go to school to pay for a damn v6 camaro. i cant wait until my fiancee finishes med school. thats when the real cash will start to flow in.

good day guys and good luck in life.

well i did get something put of it. our used car guy quite so one of my side things is used cars. they sent it straight back to me to have it inspected. corvettes dont last long on the lot in this town. people love them. i really dont like really beating on cars that arent mine but i gave this one some breaking in cause it had pretty low miles. kinda expected i guess since he was probably over seas.

Probably in the Army or Marines, reenlisted and got a fat wad of cash for his bonus and blew it all on a car. I bet he's in the Army. Not a smart choice of what to do with his money. ;)

Military issued cash huh? Where's mine? I never got issued cash. I've been ripped.

A good friend of mine is in the marines..
day after he graduated high school he was shipped to boot. He has now been to iraq 4
times and he resigned for 50k.

He bought a brand new Pontiac G6, a 2002 WS-6
and a 2005 silverado with the money that just
keeps adding up in his bank account while he's
in iraq..
f**king b*stards.. i shoulda signed.

50k seems like a lot for a signing bonus, but I think I would rather not get a signing bonus and stay in my office. You know... the office where no one is shooting at me.

I have a lot of respect for our military personnel and I think some people are very suited for the job, but don't sign up if you are just looking for easy cash.

You wouldn't be saying thats easy cash if you spent even a year in that damn desert seeing your friends dying and having to possibly kill women and children.

What good would that car do you if you got your legs blown off or you got paralized? War isn't fun and games.

honestly if I had the choice... I'd take not being in the military.... I have alot of repsoecxt for people in the military... just not my thing.

Well one advantage of getting cancer if there is a draft I don't have to worry about getting taken ;)

FWIW, one of my roomates, is in the army and he had a v6 f-body. He bought it outright for cash. Though then again his stories of having to shoot people and the fact that his wife and mother of his son cheated on him with a half dozen guys when he was in Iraq doesn't sound all too appealing.

Ever since I joined up, I have all this money, and nothing to do with it. So I went and test drove an 01' M3 and an 03' Mach1 yesterday, I nearly bought the Mach1 until I realized I would only get to enjoy it for 4 days, then I would have to store it for a little over a year.

I thought the pay was good till one of my buddies said "yeah look at what were doing, and what that breaks down to per hour..."

Relationships, and the army = waste of ****ing time.
