• dissapointed with car!!*VID* updated

well, last night i went to the fbody car meet about 50 min away, there were a couple members from the board there(LTR4Q)(sp?) (taylor) anyways there were like 10 fbodys total, then we decided to go cruising, we cruised for a really long time, got on the freeway and hit like 120 a few times, at this point alot(mostly all v8) of the LT1's and such i could kinda keep up with, i mean they wouldnt loose me or nething, i was fairly impressed, one guy was like man my clutch is going out but neways, after all said and done with me and taylor was going to race to see where our cars stand:
my mods: 3.73's,LSD,TSP tune, CAI,3 in exhaust
his mods:CAI
so i figured i would get him pretty decent right, well our first run i revved a lil and didnt launch it too hard b/c honeslty i didnt think it would be a lose race.I had him by a half a car, then at like at 60ish he just ran around me! I was like WTF, i had pass, plus alot of crap in my car. the second run pass. got in his car to record, i admit i jumped a lil but i put (not really sure) but like 2 cars maybe on him and just kinda held my position! but still im kinda pissed nothing against him at no means but i have put all these mods into my car and hell!! my question could this make a diff.:
i had in car: my headers in the bak, extra person, system amps etc, prolly about 40lbs of just misc, stuff i had in the car, plus my 17's, i am not trying to make excuses by no means but could all that add up to be that much or not really?

Well.. Get the headers out of the back and put them on! Yes, wheel sizes, and extra weight will lessen fastness.

:D

thats life. no one ever said that our cars start out on level playing feild and you can just have more mods to make it faster.

yea get the weight and everything outta the car so they are even in that regard, and then race. The wheels slow you down some, but not to much.

i love the part when he (chet) goes..."oh Sh*t"....lol...... :D ...since you didn't bought the car brand new, you don't know how the previous owner treated the car. I think that's big factor too. If a car is driven for pizza delivery it will be a more beaten up than if it was a weekend driver.... ;)

You see I don't believe the whole "if the previous owner beat on it, its slow"

I have friends tell me I should get a job testing the limits of what it takes to break a car for the car manufacterers the way I drive.

and you know what my cars are always seem to run strong.
