I say we should destroy all mechanical and chemical weapons in the world. Kill everyone that knows how to make them and make people fight hand to hand.

    Any jerkoff can pull a trigger. If you have the balls to fight someone hand to hand I'll actually respect you, not some prick that sneaks up behind you and shoves a gun in your back. And ooooo it better be a gun, the last little ****er that threatened me with a knife got it lodged into his thigh.

      But see, that's the point behind guns. They are like an equalizer. No longer does it have to be the "biggest" or best fighter that gets to make the rules.
      Your sig is the most important part of your message. Make sure that you list EVERY single thing that you have done to your car so that we can all go \'oooh!\' and \'Ah!\'. Please make your sig consistently longer than anything else you post. Please include your lengthy sig with EVERY single post you make during a reply, even if you only reply with a monosyllable grunt.

        when i heard to ban was lifted, all i could think of was that terrorists and all around bad people can get even more powerful guns to tear up a bank or a ****SCHOOL**** longer and worse. and all this BS about how they are clones and they are only semi-auto or they just look like them, you guys are fully aware how easy it is to make them fully auto. i could spend 5 mintues on the internet learning how.

          You think they couldn't get them before? :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
          If you're so scared of things like this, perhaps you just shouldn't leave your house. If they want to rob a bank, they'll do it...whether or not these guns are legal.

You just have to adjust the definition of the terms "biggest" and "best fighter". Whoever has the biggest economy with the most funding towards the military gets to make the rules. Nothin changed except the number of people that die in combat. One guy with his hands can't wipe out a village, one guy with a nuclear weapon can wipe out a metropolian area and the majority of the surrounding area. One guy with any kind of "hand to hand" weapon most likely won't be able to slaughter a school of 2000 students, one misunderstood depressive child with the key to his fathers gun closet and a fetish for pipe bombs could.

              Look at combat pre and post creation of gunpowder. There is a reason the civil war, WWI, and WWII were the bloodiest wars in history. They all envolved new technology that was more lethal.

              You may say "Well yea but the wars now only a couple thousand are killed". Only because there hasn't been a war of the magnitude of the others. Us going after the middle east isn't a war, its a military manuever. It's a joke. Guns are not an equalizer all they do is set one group even further apart from the rest.

                  The ban being lifted won't effect the firepower of criminals. The ban didn't invent new weapons :rolleyes: it made it possible for people to legally obtain them. Criminals will still illegally obtain everything they need (most couldn't pass a background check to buy them legally).

                    thats the whole point, it doesnt matter if they have already been invented, its that they can easily get them now. geez, the black market isnt the issue, its that fact that some dusch can go to a store and buy it now and go shot a co-worker he is pissed at.

                      </font>
I'm saying there's more dangerous things in the world than this. Obviously you have a better chance of being mugged on the street, killed by a drunk driver, etc....so why aren't you making such a big deal out of all those things? You're making it seem like there's going to be a rash of murders from people with "assault weapons", but there's other things that are much more dangerous.

                          Lol, as long as you dont work at the post office, where people flip out and snap only to come back and kill everyone, the ban expiring won't affect you

                            i dont think this is the most important issue but we are not talking about those issues. i just think this shouldnt have been allowed through. and im not blind to the fact that bush and congress aloud it either.

                              Yes, they allowed a ban set by another administration to end. The end date was already set :rolleyes: Lets blame bush!

                                This is dumb...any assault rifle that will be purchased now is still going to be as powerful as any AR-15 or AK-47 that was able to be purchased during the ban. The only large issue is the fact that the clips can now be bigger than 10 rounds...which were easily obtainable during the ban because it is still legal to purchase pre-ban accessories.

                                Oh...and by the way...any ban assault type rifle can be made fully automatic if you have the right tools, not just the ones that you are now able to buy.
