My AK is fun as hell. 30 round mags are more than enough for semi-auto. Those of you wanting AKs should look SKSs; same ammo, and cheaper.

I'm hoping that they'll start making hi-cap mags for my 9mm carbine. I go through that little 10-rd mag in seconds.

FYI, Wolf 9mm ammo smells like **** once its been fired, but I guess you get what you pay for

Good man, great way to carry your shotgun. Only truly safe way to do it. I forgot exactly why though, something to do with even though the safety is on, if there's a round chambered the firing pin can still strike the primer if the shotgun's jarred hard enough. Something like that (but I'm no shotgun expert).

long guns don't usually have internal firing pin block safetys like handguns do. if you drop a shotgun with it loaded, it could go off. you would have to drop it off a 2 story building and have it land on the barrel end, but it could go off.

i carry it like that because racking a round in the chamber usually prevents you from ever having to pull the trigger. with the safety off, it is ready to go. with the trigger pulled, it is set up for chambering a round.

That's why... I just couldn't remember last night when I read your post. Thanks for reminding me though DV.
