help with new exhaust!

not a technical exhaust post, so before ppl bash it/meREAD IT! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]
please help me convince my wife that i need an entire new exhaust system from exh. manifold to the tip on the end of my pipes. there is a horrible grinding rattle, and my wife noticed it yesterday. i replaced my stock muffler, and had the joints rewelded every where, so logically i need pace setters hi-flow cat , flowmaster duals all new 2.5" piping!!!!!! but how to convince her its worth 100's if not over 1k to do it?

Hmmm, not touching that with a 10 ft pole.

With the prices of gas on the rise a free flowing exhaust will cost more up front, but will buy you more miles per gallon of gas. Thus over a period of time it will save you money in which you can buy her something nice.

If you drive 15000 miles a year like the "average" person and a full exhaust buys you 4 miles to the gallon of gas

Thats almost an extra 50 miles per tank of gas at 12.5 gallons or a 4 dollar savings per fillup at 2 dollars a gallon.

Thus however many times you fill up you save 4 bucks EVERY time ;)

Wait... you replaced your stock muffler with another muffler and had everything welded instead of clamped. THEN, you decide you need all new exhaust? Tell your wife to give you one of these [img]graemlins/slap.gif[/img]
