Bad thing is neither one of us ran I would have gotten away and she probably would have gotten away too. </font>
did i read that right? you weren't running, but you would have gotten away? running and trying to get away equate to the same thing.

      i'm glad you got bent over. good luck with the high dollar road ahead. convicted or not, you just spent a few paychecks. i hope it was worth it.
      </font>
I think he meant had he tried to run they could have gotten away.

      Where you really doing 110?
      </font>
As far as getting away cops don't pursue vehicles over 100mph. I was doing well in excess of 110mph. We were doing over 140mph at some point, we were blowing our bikes out and it was in the middle of the night so traffic wasn't really there. At the point he would have came up to us we were probably doing around 80. As far as getting away all I had to do was take the highway exit and punch it take the first exit and it would have been over with like that. Ya I know it isn't good idea to run that is why I pulled over and played it dumb cause the cops even with my bike pulled over couldn't find me in the system. They had to look under my bike to get my plates so obviously they didn't have them. With the fact that we were on opposite sides of the highway I highly doubt we were doing exactly the same speed, but I'm gonna go talk to a lawyer tomorrow. One other thing I have is the cops started ripping the vin stickers and emissions stickers off my bike without my permission. Don't know if that is illegal but I'm sure its probably not. They also searched the trunk of my bike without permission, wasn't anything but glasses and a flashlight in there but still I think that requires a search warrant. One other thing the cop did was they were randomly blowing the siren when I was sitting on the push bar. Then I would hear them laugh about it.

        That sounds like Super Troopers

        Sounds kind of like a catch 22. There's no way he could have read my plates because I was going 110mph and my plates hidden. So therefor he can't prove it was me speeding.

          As a former RESPONSIBLE bike owner the only thing I have to say is have some accountability for your action- you were speeding and got caught, deal with it, don't try to find a loophole to get out of it.

          If you can't afford to pay, you might not want to play.

                    My uncle was a Englewood cop for 25 years... doubt he still has any connections to the Denver PD though.

                        Honestly normally I would have run something this one time told me not too. I mean if he did have my plates then ya I would have been screwed. O and @ the point I saw him I was doing about 10-15mph over the speedlimit @ most we were the slower traffic @ that point. O well walked away ok and I'm pretty sure I can get the felony dropped so things could have gone worse.

                          i caught a bike at 150 mph. how do you figure cops don't do over 100? i also know a trooper who works near denver in a camaro. he gets a lot of 100+ speeds. so does another friend in south carolina in a camaro. my friends police camaro will exceed 170 mph. i wouldn't suggest running or even evading. you contribute to the already bad reputation of bikers and you won't be long for this earth. at least you're not going to your girlfriend's funeral, or vise versa.

                            No denver law prevents local pd from pursueing over 100mph. The troopers can chase till there wheels fall off.

                              there you go. i do give you credit for titling the thread properly. i just hope you learned something from it. i've cleaned up a lot of kids on bikes in the last 2 years. there's usually not much left.

                                I understand your point from there. I also think there is a time and place that you can do things. Not saying doing it is right or wrong. The girl I was with watched one of her friends get decapitated because he was screwing around in the middle of busy traffic and hit a telephone pole. I understand that when you play the game your taking risks. You just got to know when to and when not to.
