Honestly I think its a helpless matter. There is nothing that will be done to "save her"

She has no idea what is going on, no brain function, she is not in a coma, she is beyond a coma, her brain is dead and has shrunked...

Its like saying, the someone gets blown up, all that was left was their arm, hooking it up to a machine to keep it going, and say we must leave it hooked up the arm "might" spontaneously regenerate an entire new body and functioning brain.

I agree it just being food makes it a "gray area" but this is a case where she needs to be stopped.

All the videos of smiling and such are BS, smiling can be a natural reaction that does not function hire brain function.

As for his money ran up so now he wants to stop helping her. I don't blame him, doubt any health insurance will cover this. He probably does not want to go insanely in debt and have to have himself and his family suffer, possible past his life paying off millions of dollars to keep this lady alive, which is a "lost cause"

The $1,000,000 dollar settlement that was awarded to them has dwindled down to $50k. Her parents have offered to pay for her from now on, relieving him of any expenses but he refuses.

Shenanigans: Medicare is covering most of the $5000 a month nursing care cost from what I've read.

i dont really think they should starve her to death, maybe over douse her on morphine(spelling?) but even if she does get better , how is she gonna feel about it.theres a chance she'd kill her self,wakeing up like that, so much older... husband is gone with other kids. i dont know i have very mixed feelings.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, (didnt really read all the posts), but the damn Federal gov't should 1)Leave the states alone 2)Should put themselves in her shoes and see if they still want to be living.

I, myself, in that situation, would want the plug pulled as well. I'm pretty sure 99% of others would too.

It appears to me you guys have not been doing your research very well. Did you guys know that Terri, when shown a balloon, or any other object, is able to follow it with her eyes? Yes, she moves her head towards the balloon to look at it. I will post the video to prove it.

To me, a person whom is brain dead would not be aware of her surroundings. Terri is stricly showing signs of awareness.

People are getting the misconception that Terri is totally brain dead.

In my opinion, Terri is not brain dead, but what happened to her was that her brain went into a state of mental illness. For example, would you consider a person whom is mentally ill to be brain dead? Pretty much, Terri is acting like a mentally ill person.

Lastly, she is able to also swallow her own saliva on her own (there is no one there to be whiping her mouth) and has also been known to swallow jello when given to her. How can someone say she's brain dead when she is clearly shwoing the sense of touch when jello is placed in her mouth.

Those of you saying she should die are not seeing the full picture. Would any of you ever let a kid born with mental illness be killed because he/she needs to be taken cared off 24/7? Worse, being starved to death? That's not humane. That's called Youthanasia.

There's no plug to pull. She breaths on her own. Food is being pumped into her stomach, that's her only aid. They yanked it and she is being starved to death.
