Hell yeah!! The military is an awesome deal. Plus, the Army is giving a ton of money for enlistment bonuses. Why are you going back to stock?

Nice man. I'm heavily considering the Air Force right now, but we'll wait and see.
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

If you have any questions about joining the Air Force, feel free to ask me or one of the other guys on here. I joined back in July '03, and I've loved every moment of it. V6, good luck with the Army, and enjoy the experience. It's one you won't find anywhere else!

Go for it. My dad has been in for 25 years and it has been nothing but great for him and our family. I am in Air Force ROTC right now and I will get my commission in 2007. Just email me if you have any questions.

My youngest brother just enlisted into the Marines. chose 'infantry' as his career path. not sure thats the smartest move, since he tested to be able to get into all but the top 3% programs or some such thing. He ships out to NC this September.

me..... Im getting too old for that stuff...... good luck to all you young whipper-snappers. ;)

Well before I joined I was given a tour of a SF training course in South Florida. One of the SF Sgt's thought Id be a great canidate for Airborne training leading into the SF world. But its all gonna take a while cause I had to go reserves. So once Im complete with basic and AIT and get assigned to my unit which is near my house. I do this for 6 months, once that passes by I can sign up to go Active and thats when Im able to go Airborne, I may even go to Ranger school. Not quite sure yet, but SF does look sweet.

You can do anything you want if your set your sights on it (the sights in your head, not the sights on you're M16 ;) ) As long as your in decent shape and get a good score on the ASVAB you should be fine.
