• Check out my new car!!

Just bought it from a guy in Kent, WA

    Check my sig,

Paid $900. Drove it onto the trailer. It runs good, needs a new interior, but will be my daily driver in a few weeks. Then goes nickle and dime interior work and preping for restoration. Once I have the interior complete, suspension new, and all small signs of rust removed, I will disasemble and repaint the whole car. Then put everything back together.

The car is untouched, still has stock 305, th350, and 3.08 posi rearend.

My first mod is hooker headers(which I already have) and a true dual z28 exhaust. Then an edelbrock intake and 500cfm carb. The 500cfm carb has smaller primaries than the two barrels that are currently on it. I should get better mileage on the highway(already gets 20) and be able to pass people when the secondaries kick in.
I think I'm going to stay with those mods and keep the rest original. I would like to put my other 350 in there and beef it up, but i'm still not sure yet. The exhaust and intake is an either-or mod. Which in my definition means it is a good mod either 305 or 350 and they will work for both.

If you can name that color, ill send you a thumbs up.

    Hope you likey

Nice car. I'm thinking the paint color is probably carmine, since more of that color sold than saffron, though I could be wrong

I'm thinking car-mine, not car-min. Cool. And that's a great price too- I'd be happy

Looks good. It can actaully be pronounced either way (car-mine or car-min).

the Series II motor you have is probably slightly more powerful, well at least more hp, less tq.

that is in bad as s condition. check the rear qtrs for bondo, and I hate yo very much.

rumor has it that the engine has 160 hp, not sure of the torque. the quarters I think are fine, but havent done much looking. THe guy I bought it from is very honest, and actually tried to talk me out of the car by showing more flaws(he really didn't want to sell it) the flaws he showed me were very very minor. I am very happy to have gotten the car and cant wait to get her driving every day.

the hardest part of the restore is finding carmine interior parts.

if anyone knows of restore outlets that are reasonably priced, post the link.

                    thanks for the comments guys

Year 1, Classic Industries, Goodmark, are all good places.

Here's an iteresting idea since you scored it a a good deal: L67 w/f-bod upper manifold, turbo, intercooler.

That car will weigh about as much as a current GP (maybe upto 3700lbs) and putting in a more powerful motor (just a six ;) ) that weighs less plus you get the overdrive tranny w/the 4L60E.

Nothing like spending other peoples' money $$$ ;) ;)
