• To mod or not to mod?

I have been trying to decide whether to mod my V6 or not, not sure if it is worth it. In 2 years I will be buying a Trans Am, and one or two years later I will be dropping a new big block on the V6.

One more thing...hate to guestimate but what kinda dyno numbers could I maybe see in my car by adding Pacesetter headers, and Hi-Flo CAT? Considering the mods I already have? (I have flowmaster but on the stock 2.5" pipes).

Simple answer: No.

Complex answer: No, save money for LS1 mod money.

How do you know you're getting a Trans Am and why are you waiting 2 years?

I have 1.5 years (approximately) or so to finish my PhD. So in other words... I will have a real salary as opposed to my current graduate assistanship.

I'd do some mods if I were you. I mean, you're gonna have the car for the next 3-4 years. I wouldn't go investing too much $$ though.

Jsut do what I am doing and focus on mods easily removed and car easily put to stock Or jsut dirt cheap mods.

Just because I am not going to keep a car doesn't mean I cannot enjoy it more ;)

hell, i know that my V6 is gone in like a year or so for either an LT1 or a Grand National, but that doesnt keep me from modding it.

im happy where i am now, so im pretty much finished modding.

next summer if i dont end up doing a turbo on it, the V6 is gone.

Well since your going to be getting a hopefully decent paying job you'll should be able to afford a LS1 and do plenty of mods.
\"Well, we don\'t care how bad-*** some dude\'s N/A Honda S2000 motor is; if you go up against 900+ pushrod ponies and 750 pounds of earth-shaking torque with a wrong-wheel-drive econobox, you\'re gonna get a fast and furious old-school ***-whipping.\"
