i cant get enough of it. I only like the Las Vegas one, that blonde girl in Miami gets on my nerves, she talks like a robot. All this week on Spike TV they are having CSI marathons, from noon to 8. (PST, i dont know if it adjusts for EST or not). I don't know how I'm going to get any of my homework done.

I agree only the vegas one is cool I haven't given new york that big of a shot though.
CSI marathon makes being sick as hell not so bad.
Btw why do they really need a marathon and it just seems like you can watch csi anytime of the day.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251

I'm a little pissed off at it (even though I love the show). Now hundreds of more people are trying to get into my field not know what the heck they are doing, and many of them never seen a dead body before. Yah, a crime seems like a fun puzzle to do, but the show is in NO WAY NEAR that of the actual investigations and forensic techniques. In my Advanced Applied Forensic Science Certificate Program (that I finally completed I saw sooooo many people who are "career changing" just because of the show CSI. I mean, congrats on them for wanting to be in a job they like, but I'd recommend doing research on it first. It's funny because I laugh at the clothes they wear and the car they drive. AH, But yes, the show is cool. ;)Sinister Six

1998 Sport Metallic Gold Firebird A4:

Whisper Lid, 5% Limo Tint, 30th Anniversary Side Stripes, 3\" Borla Catback Dual Exhaust, Man Fan Switch, SLP CAI
http://members.cardomain.com/98goldbird

Are all CSI's geniouses, know way too much, beautiful, and drive pimped out Tahoes?
And why is it that I can think of 2 episodes off the top of my head where Camaros get destroyed? (A 4th gen was victim to a car bomb, and a 3rd gen got ran off a cliff by a bus, then the bus landed on it. Both drivers died. :( )

CSI is the new cops, you can watch it 24/7. Its so over exaggerated though. Its sort of like the Law & Order series, the original is definatly the best.Black \'94 Trans Am A4- SLP CAI & Loudmouth
Red \'93 Firebird A4- Ram Air under the WS6 hood, !cat, exhaust.

hehe I like how in the miami ones they get Hummer H2s
My girlfriend considered doing it but she has a degree in anthropology, she has been to archaelogical digs and worked at them for periods of times and even before the show was big she was considering going to grad school for forensic anthropology, and maybe getting into that field.
Its cool but I would rather be a regular cop with that. I have considered maybe working into the FBI/working with the FBI later on. I dig investigating kind of stuff, and is my fall back career if I never finish school is to be a cop. I thought it would be cool to work for or with the FBI with my degree in accounting, and decent background in computers, to work in tracking down money with criminals. Because lets face it 95% of crime is based around money

A degree in Anthropology will work. She can be a Forensic Anthropologist. There's a lot to do in that field.
After talking to a few FBI agents myself, I've grown more and more distant to the thought of joining (once wanted to work for them). Not anymore though.
And all the crime labs in the world would wet their pants if they got a car even CLOSE to a H2. .
Not all CSI's are genious'. Not all of them are hot. Not all of them drive Tahoes. Not all of them know way too much. The people who do the actual field work make less money than the people who do the lab work. Each person is knowledgeable in their field of expertise, whether it'd be Trace, GSR, DNA, Fingerprinting, etc. Not one CSI "If you want to call it that" goes to a scene and does all that they show on TV. At a scene, there's a Trace, and Fingerprinter, a Blood Analysts, etc, etc.
Shenanigans, your accounting and computer background is actually a bigger advantage than you might think. Especially with how demanding computers are as they are in almost every aspect of our lives. I would take some kind of class in your field of interest.
Just my 2 cents.Sinister Six

1998 Sport Metallic Gold Firebird A4:

Whisper Lid, 5% Limo Tint, 30th Anniversary Side Stripes, 3\" Borla Catback Dual Exhaust, Man Fan Switch, SLP CAI
http://members.cardomain.com/98goldbird
