i read up on them a lil and i dunno if she has the 2.3 or 3.0 they both seem pretty fast by h/p and i know it is really small!!! do i have a chance with either motor:
mods are:
3.73/LSD, AL driveshaft, Tsp tune, cai, hooker exhaust, hi fow cat!!!
it is an older lady at work but she is cool and has a young mind!!! she said she got it up to like 150 but it felt like she was floating and stopped
OK let me rephrase this WHAT DOES THE Z4 run in the 1/4 i am interested in buying one just curious what they will do, will it be faster than my other car which is a firebird with the mods i have posted above!!!! do u think i should get this!!! A**!!!!
Their straight line isn't that special, it's the handling. One of my friend's has one (2004 2.5L), and it is tight handling. She took me around a tight clover loop at 75mph without making the tires squeal! (it had a LOT more to go) :eek:
They are pretty fun to drive too. It reminded me of a slightly smaller corvette, although no where near as fast. The aftermarket is pretty steep though. I think a popular one is Dinan.
Pretty neat cars. I recommend the 3.0L.

i was messing around with a 3.0L z4 one night, i got my a$$ handed to me. i dont like fully racing, but i was cruising at a good speed, and this guy would floor it and go flying away.

yeah she has a 3.o so i am screwed how do u figure i am screwed with a 2.5 i think it would be a good race but i would edge a 2.5!! 15.1 i hopeing 14.8 at the track!!!

I am not exactly sure what you are asking. You say you are interested in buying the car but you are screwed if she has a 3.0? Are you racing this lady or buying her car?
Regarding the car, my 330i has a 225HP 3.0 5 spd. As far as speed goes, it will probably be about the same as the FB. The handling should be incredible. I can (and should one of these days) do an entire write-up on the handling differences between my two cars.
The 330i has a governer at 135 MPH. I don't know about the z4. 150 is attainable without it.
The 2.5 is a wuss of a motor. I fart in its general direction.
L36, I thought for '05 the HP on the 3.0 was 235. At least, that's what C/D said. I recall being pissed when I read it.

He was trying to be a smart *** by asking a different question in order to get a response to the question he asked which is against the rules. He is racing the lady, but someone said it is against the rules so then he changed it to "I am buying this car, will it be faster then my current car."

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
