... in two or three months. :(
Today, as part of my job, I was one of the last four people to do a walk through - make sure everything that needed to be gone was, etc. Broke down a couple doors, pulled stuff off the walls ... yadda yadda.
After we're done going through the office spaces there's a second half of the building... mind you, I'd never had to inspect the inside of this building before so I'm having a blast ... jumping over cubes, knocking in doors ... tearing stuff off the walls - great stress relief.
My supervisor just smiles as we walk down the corridor to the second half of the building, "You're gonna love this."
He opens the door and it took a few seconds for it to dawn on me.
This is a 12 bay garage... atleast.
There were two drive-in doors. stalls marked out on the floor ... no overhead lifts - but you could see where they had been. Two security cameras watched from the ceiling. There was also an observation room from the second floor
The building has been pretty vacant for a bit. We used it to 'store' employees while construction was going on. Monday we're going to try and go back in to salvage more stuff, but there's no real telling on that.
Anyway - there ya go - the best garage I never had ... gonna be sitting empty ... for a few months - then gone so they can build town houses.
RIP, the garage I never got. :(
