I previously owned 2 Kodak easy share cameras- One i gave to my ex boyfriend (it was a 2.1 megapixel I think) and my last one I am giving to my parents is a 6.1 megapixel (DX7630). There isnt anything wrong with the 6.1 besides the lens squeaks whenever it moves. Its a decent camera but since my dad has been *****ing he wants one but doesnt know exactly which kind, he can play with this one til he finds a better one or something.
Anyways I am excited and bought the Fuji finepix S9000 off of a site today for $510 bucks with a 256 memory card (I know the memory isnt that great but I constantly back up my pics i also get a free camera case). I paid about the same for the Kodak 6.1 almost two years ago.
My friend has a Fuji Finepix (older one) and its pretty sturdy. we dropped it a bunch of times onto concrete while walking and even once drove on the highway with it on the roof of his car. hehe
I had it narrowed down to 3 cameras while doing research today and the Fuji won. Here is what i had also considered-- Kodak P880 8MP, Canon EOS Rebel XT (didnt have a lens and it was way more than what i wanted to pay but a great camera indeed).
If anyone gives a damn, here is the link. Good article and pictures. If anyone already owns one let me know how you like it and if anything has broken on it yet. I am not too happy about it using AA so i must get rechargables and a battery charger.
