  • Thinking About Selling The Camaro

Lately i have been getting an urge to sell the camaro. I love the styling of the camaro, but i also dislike the interior. The performance for the 3.8 seems limited unless you want to spend a lot of money, which is true for any car.

I have been thinking about getting a few cars and need help deciding if i should:

    (In no particular order)

    a. Keep the sixer
    b. Mitsubishi Evo
    c. 350z
    d. LS1 Camaro
    e. 03/04 Cobra (Not Likely, more of a shot in the dark)

I dont want to sell my car, but attaining a relativley quick car from my 3.8 will require more work than i know how to do (cam/heads). I want a car that has a nice starting platform for power. Then i want to do simple bolt ons and have a fast car without compromising reliability TOO much.

All opinions are welcome and i would love to hear a lot so i can make my decision.

To be honest, I'd say Evo. Can't beat AWD launches...

thats why i like them. AWD, but it is the worst looking out of the bunch in my opinion.

The Evo would be great, but don't think you're going to be launching hard on it all the time unless you want to keep replacing the clutch and other driveline components. I've heard the stock clutch is a little on the weak side to begin with, so an upgrade should probably towards the top of your to-do list.

Check out a few message boards dedicated to the cars... talk to the people, see how the cars are, see what the complaints are, and go and drive all of them. You might think it looks and sounds good, but you might really not like driving it.

ive driven an evo and a 350z.

both are awesome but the Z i drove was auto and i would be getting a 6speed.

An LS1 camaro couldnt be too much different from the 6er, although i would be test driving one if i were serious about getting one.

yeah i have been looking around a couple message boards for evos/350z and havent found too much good info. Guess ill have to register.

LS1 all the way. Great mpg (for what it is ;) ), a couple simple bolt ons and you'll see 12s most likely, barely sacrificing any reliability.

with that list not even sure why you are contempating keeping the 6.

                    unless money is a problem.

imo... Ls1 is the most affordable, and good bang for the buck... the other cars are going to be like $10k more but then again newer

If you are seriously interested in a 350Z I would wait another year or so until they get a redesign and the 450Z comes out (if it comes out at all). That way prices will drop down a little and you can get a better car for your money.

i didnt mean by performance. i meant more along the lines of looks and interior, stuff like that.

obviously the LS1 will pin me back when compared to the 3.8
