I don't know about everyone else here, but I try to stay up with every type of car from every country, and I've heard nothing of a 450Z. If there is a successor, which has yet to be announced, it probably won't be a 450... it's based on the engine size, and they don't have a 4.5 that they'd put into it, AFAIK. A bored VQ35 to maybe 3.8 liters would be cool, but I don't know if that's possible or not.

The LS1 drives completely different (other then being faster) It has tighter steering, and better suspension.

Here's a better question, how much money are you looking to spend. From the list, it looks like you can afford around 20ish.

What's more important? Looks, speed, reliability?

Of the cars listed, the

350Z

Pros: Nice styling, awesome handeling, decently quick.

Cons: Two seater and is gonna probably slowest out of the bunch.

Evo
Pros: Great handling, awesome for wet/snow driving. AWD launches fvcken rock.

Cons:
I've heard that the evos trannys are weak and can't take very much abuse. Not very good top end. Not a very good looking car IMO.

LS1,

Pros: Fast, reliable, good milage, mild bolt ons will get you 12s

Cons: Old design, going on 8 years now, weak rearend. The following is speaking from experience: sloppy feeling gearbox, it's like rowing a boat to change gears. It's a heavy car, and drives like a heavy car.

For the hell of it 03/04 Cobra

Pros: Blower wine>* virtually endless modability/cheap to mod, bulletproof motor, decent handling. Hands down the fastest of the bunch and will get you even faster with little mods.

Cons: IRS with weak halfshalfs. Ummm, I can't think of many more honestly.

V6 Fbody:

Pros: non compared to the listed cars

Cons: See pros and everything the LS1 has

The one CON on the LS1 I wanna challenge is the shifter. I've got a B&M aftermarket in mine and it's like damn rifle bolt. The stock shifter may be sloppy, but an aftermarket shifter eliminates that

One thing to consider too, if shifter slopiness is a factor - manual Cars that are FWD don't have the shifter directly into the trans. Shifts are done via cable which can really affect how the shifts feel. My brothers Cavalier feels like the shifter is made out of rubber

May be true, but every Honda I've ever shifted in ('94 Civic, '06 Civic, '93 Prelude) has felt DAMN good... the great shifter was half the fun of driving them (I'm guessing you guys don't like Civics, so it would probably all of the fun, if that, to you guys).

I love my stangs shifter. Very tight and very short throw. Rx8s are roughly the same as a V6 fbody speedwise. But I've heard they drive on rails, a very well balanced car. Plus the I think it has one of the best looking interiors ever.

Would you consider a 04 or 05 goat? Nice interiors, RWD, proven drivetrain, good handling, decent amount of space.

I have to say I wasn't very impressed with the RX8. Like you said no TQ. Which just makes it less fun to throw around. I didn't care for the clutch (something you would get use to if you owned it though). It had more understeer in corners than I expected from a car that is suppose to be so balanced from the factory. I don't dislike rotary engines, but you have to consider most shops won't want to work on one if something goes wrong and if they aren't properly maintained something will go wrong. Just so you know I test drove it on an auto-x course so I can't really say anything about normal driving conditions.

id go gto. the interior is much nicer. i havent test drove one yet but just from sitting inside of one i can say that its really comfortable. you can easily sit 4 people in it with out being too cramped. the shifter in it felt alot more comfortable than an fbody or mustang ive been in.

as far as performance goes 04s are on par with fbodies and 05s are a tad bit faster in the 1/4. the only thing i dont like is that it has IRS instead of a solid rear axel. but thats just me. im sure it handles pretty nicely.
