A finger was found in Wendy's chili! Some woman accidentally bit into the tip of a mangled finger in her chili, then threw up. Lemme find an online link:
Officials have launched what they call a trace-back. They are going to contact all of the food processors who made the ingredients. Somewhere, someone is missing a finger.
I worked for wendy's in high school. The chilli is a powder mix, they then take meat that was slightly over cooked (but not burned) from the day before. Chop it up. And mix the meat, chilli mix, and water. Wallha Wendy's chilli.
Unless whoevere was chopping the "grill meat" chopped off their own finger, I don't, I don't know how it would've gotten in there. Even if they chopped it off while chopping the meat, I'd think they'd retireve the finger, before going to the ER.

I don't know how long ago you worked there but in the article they were talking about searching all the different companies that supplied ingredients for the chili, leading me to believe it is just sent to the chains to be heated and served. They revamped it recently. As long as it is fingerless its really good.
Yeah I know, I worked there 6 years ago I guess.
The only ingredinets that are added is the chilli powder mix, and the meat thats chopped up there in the store.
They take the meat thats been on the grill too long if it starts to dry out, put it in a container then use it the next morning in the chilli.
I find it really hard to believe the finger would have come from the powder mix. Is all I was getting at.
