What a blessing! I know some of you aren't Christian, but I've been praying to have a reliable car before college... I've been driving a junker for a long time... I was a bit bummed because it's only 2 weeks before I ship off to college but I didn't stop searching.

I found an ad on AutoTrader this morning.... it was EXACTLY what I wanted... Even has aftermarket multi-CD changer... Ran the VIN through a pal on another car site, looked good, called them today, they still had it, suggested a price, they took it. The weirdest thing is... Even when putting in the EXACT criteria again... it didn't come back up on auto-trader... I had to go back into my history and find it there... I could never find it again by searching... it's like God took the page off just for me or something.

What do you think? I think it's a stinking awesome deal! It's hard enough to find a black automatic 1997, let alone for a great price, with decent miles, and pristine outside... It is exactly what I want and just wanted to share my excitement with you all.

My dad and I are so psyched about this one... that we're driving like 375 miles just to see it haha. Funny thing is it's from a volvo dealer. I'm guessing the 2nd owner traded it in for a family car.

YEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!! If we buy it tonight I am ordering my Zaino first thing! haha! Now I can hopefully go to college in style like I have been hoping all summer.

haha, man, I've been looking for 2 months... and I wanted very specific things... it had to be automatic, had to be black (harder to find), had to be 1997 (makes it more difficult), and I really wanted RS (same with others)... I wouldn't take anything else. I sort of made it hard on myself, but I think when buying a car...it's important to wait for what you want....

Everything just fell into place nicely, and while you got a darn good deal, mine has 10k less miles, is black, and in perfect condition, and I think it's a pretty good deal too [img]tongue.gif[/img] .

If yours was black and in excellent condition then dang... you really did get a stinking crazy good deal [img]tongue.gif[/img] .

Besides, we already struck a deal and my word is my bond. I'll talk to dad about talking him down possibly, but I don't think that's really good business, and he already had his supervisor okay the 6775

When you're on a budget of 9500, and you're as particular as I am... (seriously... look up what I specified on www.cars.com or www.autotrader.com... almost nothing comes up... and I wanted to get it for less than 7k so I have as much as possible for mods)
...and when you have 2 weeks before you go to college.... and almost every other car of the short list of cars that comes up is not as good... I'd call it a Godsend.

First.. don't rain on his parade. Let him be happy.

Second. It's a bit high, but if it's pristine and you have a mechanic look it over for issues and it has none. Buy it.

All areas of the country have different retail values, let's face it.. I can get a Z28 in detroit for less than that, will it be pristine.. hell no!
