  • Protein shake of choice?

For you that lift and use protein shakes, what is your brand/flavor of choice. And also how much protein do you have per serving.

My choice is Optimum Nutritions Pro Complex, either chocolate or strawberry flavor (haven't tried vanilla yet). 260 cals per serving, 2g of fat, 4g of carb (nice :D ) and 55...YES ...55 grams of protein. There is a nutrition label here http://www.optimumnutrition.com/prod...p?Inventory=19 if you want to see what other good stuff it has, such as 60 mG of vitamin A (100 of daily value).

Hey, Trunks, how's the taste, how much does it cost, and where do you buy it? I've been trying to find a decent-tasting but moderately-priced protein shake myself.

i never had a single favorite, but designer protein tastes the best... weight gainer is pretty close though i guess it isn't just a straight up protein shake.

      chocolate or strawberry = :D

I got it from my local health/nutrition store. it was 37.99 for 2.2 pounds (1000 grams). ANd the chocolate tastes good so does the strawberry.

By the way, lately I've just been drinking skim milk after my workouts. A 2-cup serving gives you 180 calories, 18g of protein (it's no 55, I know, but it's 2g more than you'd get with 2%), 13g of carbs (4% RDA), and 60% of your calcium RDA... and 0 fat. But it does taste lack in the taste department. Oh, and it's only 3 bucks a gallon.

I use GNC Whey, Chocolate flavor, its like $33 during gold card week, 6lb bottle, 20G per serving but i do double servings when i take it.

I also eat two chicken patties (30g total), a hot pocket (15g), w/ the shake after lifting. thats 85g of protein total. The whey absorbs fast, and the other food protein absorbs slow.

THis is over and above the protein i eat throughout the day, and my protein cereal in the morning.

I been doin this all summer, upped my bench 180lbs to 270, and i weigh 160.
