C&C Generals help

K I have played both generals and zero hour and beat all campaigns in hard mode with the exception of the generals challenge on zero hour. I have made it to the tank general finally. But I cannot make it 15 mins there. So I was playing with the INI file to put the game in my favor ;) . However if I change any value in the INI file the game will crash on start up. Any help? Also anyone that has beat this level in hard mode, how did you do it? BTW I am playing as the nuke general if that is relevant.

if all you want is the original ini file post the name of the one you tweaked and your email and I can send it to you

The ini files are on the cd's and I can replace them when I want but I cannot start the game with a moded ini file. It crashes on start up. But for the moment I am ok. I beat the tank guy, I will mop up what’s left of his base tomorrow. But the ini thing I can't figure out. In all the other C&C games (the first RA is the best [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img] ) you can mod it all you want and still play. this sucks. I want rocket infantry that shoot nukes and snipers that fart that poisonous green gas dammit. :mad:

they did that cause people was doing it online so now the game checks it when you boot

Then whats the point of a map builder if you cannot get creative? Is there any way around it?

Look on the web for an application that allows you to change the date of a file. Basically what's more that likely happeining is that you are modifying the ini, and the game is looking for one created at X date/time.

I remember the first RA, I used to play it ALL the time, man, I was in like 5th grade then, haha. The ini cheats were awesome...

I haven't played with generals too much though, bought in the middle of last semester and had too much classwork to get into it. Let us know if the ini cheat works for generals, I wouldnt mind tweaking a few things to make it fun.

Holy crap, I made it past the gal with the 3 ion cannnons, and the next intro I see is this girl using all 3 superweapons :eek: . I feel I am going to be raped on this one.

lol that ones hard its the last level expand to the east over that brige you have to get the money thats over there, also you need the room for your base

Yeah I just need to work on my timing, I can't seem to get up a defense for that tunnel attack in time. o well, tomorrow.
