• the new Saturn Vue - Honda Powered

    Yup..
GM is using the 3.5L Honda V6 to power their new Saturn Vue :(
Kinda sucks that such a big company is buying motors from Honda, but I guess its cheaper to buy a motor than develop the technology themselves? I dunno why else they 'd do it.

What do you guys think about a Japanese powered domestic car?

Bat, I like you and all, but who cares whether an import motor is in a domestic car? Does it really matter that much? I could really care less if the next car I buy is japanese powered, domestic powered, israeli powered, african powered, etc. If it recieves the highest rating from Car and Driver, and is reliable, passes all the test, looks nice, etc, then I'll give it some consideration.

        .

        .

But...I will never consider buying a Corvette with a japanese motor :D

            My uncle owns a Peugeot

And I do think it is a good idea that they'll last a long time... I am just glad they have the ecotec, it would suck if we had some civic motors in our econocars
            There would be no competition!

              </font>
He needed to have it imported in right?

I actully heard a rumor that Citreon would CONSIDER selling in the U.S.

But if they came over GM would probably take em over right away...lol

                Wow. Welcome to last week.

2 things. Nowhere on the motor will you see "HONDA" and I've seen Honda do more recalls so far for Honda Oddessy mini-vans and Honda Pilots equipped with this motor more than anything else ;)

I believe Honda is much more reliable than Saturn

BUT,I think it should be a Saturn Engine..not a Honda...

lets put the ford mustang GT engine in the next corvette. it's more reliable.

what about that sturdy 4.7L toyota V8. that would be awesome in the next generation of camaros. they recieved high ratings from car and driver.

get over it. some of our precious GM motors weren't designed in the US.

most of ford's 4 cylinders come from mazda/japan.

my chrysler car is mitsubishi powered.

                        oh teh noes!11!#

Its been going on for years. Chrysler/Dodge did it with Mitsu, Ford has been sharing motors and patforms with Mazda (Ford owns Mazda) which were built mostly in Japan in american specs.. Chevy has used isuzu diesels in europe ;) All of em, at one time or another. haha. no big surprise to me atleast. 'sides, not like I'll ever own one.
