No more fabbed sport cars

Is it just me or does there seem to be a major crackdown on any even slighty modified car? Not just in my nieghborhood but all over the Northeast, and from what I'm reading on the boards, everyone seems to be getting in trouble. I haven't heard a single rumbly mustang this year and the civics are all shut up, SS and Trans Am's are all stock. Just a few years ago everything was rumbling around my town. I'm just curious if anyone else seems to notice this as of late?

Nothing out here. The cops will pull you over for rattling windows or for racing, but that's really about it.

You can have wonderful sounding exhaust as long as you are trying to keep it from sounding like a nascar.

here we have muscle cars running pretty much opens headers on the weekends all the time and my exhaust is the loudest car driving around everyday. no problems here. and i know a guy running open headers from his LS1 in the city

I never cap my cutout, open it up on the 50mph streets by me. Ran my v6 open headers sometimes just for ****s and giggles. Never a problem.

Though my neighbors do give me dirty looks sometimes...

every other car here used to be modded. it was kinda like a fad in our town. but it's coming back now that it's summer. there's a lot of ricers around here. there's also a lot of old muscle cars in mint condition.

The center of the country and the midwest seem to be doing all right. In my area the pickups and the harleys are running free but I caught hell for my loudmouth, and I believe I posted before that I'm catchin hell for a flowmaster hushpower! My 6 currently seems to be louder than any sports car around. I sure as hell hope this is just a phase that ends soon!

What about lifts?...lol.

It really makes me sick. Everyone here has a truck it seems(or an "SUV") but they don't use them as trucks or SUV's.

It's funny pulling along side a jacked-up modded truck, you can not see if the guy wants to race ya! [img]smile.gif[/img]
