one would think it would be similar to a manula transmission, with a computer controlling the clutch and shifting. hehe...that would be way to simple. let's make planetary gears!
youd think that they would be able to make an automatic faster since the technology is so much more newer, they should be able to make one faster, anyway. don't know if its been done yet though. wonder if thoes lambo or ferrari auto's are better compared to the manuals

that variable speed transmission has potential to be. but its still in development with only a handful of manufacturers even looking at it right now. I think there even a few cars with the option of it, but its still new and and very complicated, hence few people know how to work with it.

the Audi TT has a twin clutch automatic trans: 1,3,5 on one clutch and 2,4,6 on another and they simutaneously disengage/engage. this is one of the quickest shifting trans in production
