• Is your car cleaner than your house/apartment?

My apartment is not that clean most of the time. I just cleaned it last weekend and it doesn't look too bad right now, it's not nasty or anything. On the other hand, it isn't immaculate like my car.

I'm obsessive about the car. I wear flip-flops in the winter so I can take them off and set them on the seat so as not to get anything on the mats. When my girlfriend got muddy shoes last week when I picked her up from class I made her take them off before setting foot in the car. I just cleaned my mats today (not that they really needed it) and they really look good. I used Blue Magic carpet cleaner on the discolored spots, vacuumed, then Febreze'd them. I use 303 Aerospace protectant on the dash and all plastic in the car and it gives a nice shine. It's not greasy like Armor-All. Now today, for the first time EVER I cleaned out my center console. Before today this was the only dirty part of my interior. How you see my interior right now is probably how you will see it a week or a month from now, I ALWAYS keep it clean. Is anyone else this obsessive? If so, post about it!!!

they kinda mimick each other, when my car is dirty my room is dirty and vice-versa. thats the interior at least, I wash the outside once a week.

theres an easier way than playing games with your shoes. just put towels down over the floormats.

I like the look of my floormats or I would put towels down. Probably will if I have to go somewhere that requires my shoes getting muddy or dirty.

My Firebird is spotless, the Civic is not very clean, but not dirty either, and my apartment is messy. It's easier to keep a car clean than an apartment anyway! (Plus, more people see the car than my apartment!)
