• Iraqi's finally got their chance to vote

It's awesome to know that 60% of the voting age Iraqi's voted. After all these talk of doom and gloom by the politicians, media, and insurgents, the Iraqi's went to the poll and show the power of voting.

I wish them the best. Hopefully this will rush the return of our troops.

Major props for our troops and President for making this happen.

I heard on the news that they were expecting like 100-200 votes, but ended up with like a 1000-2000, or something like that.

I'm still shocked that all the major news networks are covering this in a positive light. Even CNN and MSNBC.

I guess every now and then something happens in Iraq that is so positive that it's impossible to put a negative spin on it. This would be one of those things.

I'm very happy that the elections turned out well. It's a very, very promising sign that we're on the right track in Iraq.

Aren't there like 25 million people living in Iraq? I think it was a lot more than 2000.

I try to put myself in the shoes of an average Iraqi.

Bombings, death threats to people who vote, you get your finger dyed with indelible ink so there is no hiding it from the people threathening others, a difficult-to-follow ballot...

...and still millions turn out to vote.

Yes, that is remarkable.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

It still shows others that you voted, even though that wasn't the purpose.

You have to count all of the send in ballots, I saw footage of lots of Iraqis voting in Germany, Britian, and other countries. I watched Geraldo get so mad he had to go off of camera a the voting day, b/c of a suicide bombing, killing a teenager. And by the way, Iran is next. ;)
