My brother loves this violent sh1t and gave me a few DVDs to view it over the past summer.

All I can say is that it's not fake like wrestling you see on TV.

lol me too, ive been hooked since the first season. some times i catch the end of whatever wwe show(raw?) is on before untimate fighter and its so lame. its so fake its not even funny why do people watch it? its like a damn soap opera.

lol i like clench my fist and twitch when i watch the fights. they get pretty intense sometimes.

I havent seen season one but I have been following up on season 2. I watch the re-run on Thursday becasue I watch football Monday night. It funny watching their first major fight, they are so nervous and even know their may not be a lot of fighting, its always good to see someone take someone else down. It kinda hard to explain but, I hope you catch my drift.

I use to workout with a couple of guys that fight in UFC. One middleweight and heavy weight. Pretty nice guys too. You'd think that there mean and vicious and all.

But they have been seriously hurt. It probably explains why I don't see them anymore.

                i know what your sayin.

one of the things that makes me liek the ufc even more is if you look at 90% of the guys, there pretty stand up guys. look at the coaches from the 1st season, really kool guys.

he is but it comes to a point where you have to ask your self, is that really neccessary? i think yes it is, these guys have to be mentally tough. look at the 1st couple guys on this season, they couldnt handle it mentally. so they QUIT.

UFC is awesome. Need some more competitive heavyweights though. Arlovoski will not lose to any of the heavyweights in the UFC right now.

Anyone ordering the PPV tomorrow night?

My best friend has been doing Jiu Jitsu for a few years now and we do a lot of the grappling and all. I wish I would have known about mixed martial arts when I was like 13 so I could have done that.

I turned it on for a second a little while ago. I got bored quickly. I don't know if they had been going at it for a long time and were just exhausted or what but they were just wrapped around each other and throwing the weakest little punches. Then I turned it.

Well its kind of a mix of both, this is the first time their fights are are being televised and they are nervous too. And there may not be a whole lot of action because they are not the most experienced. There is little action but when someone does finally get the knock out or submission, its pretty exciting because we are so use to seeing little action.

the fights on the show aren't that great. a lot of people are holding back b/c they don't want to get eliminated. when you watch the fighters from the first season on ultimate fight night, they look a whole lot better w/ more experience in the octagone.

yes and no. the ones playing the game(and usually not the best) hold back to avoid be eliminated and or be injured and off anyway. but there was a couple good ones like melvin and josh, jorge and that one dude, who just truly love fighting. a good bit of this guys have fought in pretty large events.

between teh 1st ult fighter and fight night, the guys had a lot more time to train and really use what they learned from the show when fight night came.
