Ok I know there was a post about this a month or so ago. However, I been looking at this as an option instead of my current saving account of a whopping .15%. For those of you that have this are you happy with it? How easy is it to gain access to your money when the time comes when you need it?

I have it and I love it. I have no gripes.

As far as getting the money when you need it, it could take a couple days to transfer funds into it. It's definitely not an emergency funds account. It's one of those 'put money in there and forget about it' accounts.

If you really want a return on your investment you should do aggressive mutual funds. Normally it takes about a week to get money out when you need it. But there is a possibility of a lot higher gains.

If you are talking about < 1000 then a bank savings account is about as good as it gets. Beacause the trasactions fees for a broker and such would be too high of a percentage of your initial investment.

I personally have a small account with American Funds making about 8 percent in 6mo.

You have to remember that mutual funds may loose value and are not FDIC insured, and history doesn't neccesarily mean future gains.
