Actualy my math was wrong. I divided by ounces instead of drops. it was cool while it lasted. :(
this is the correct math:
69,992,640(# of drops a year) / 16,640(drops in 1 gal) = 4,206 gallons lost per year
4,206 X $1.80 (cost of a gallon of gas) = $7,571 (dollars of gas wasted per year)
I guess if you put this number towards all the companies and at all the stations in the world it might be big enough to care about. Oh well.
