I've researched and researched and I still can't find out exactly how to unlock my cell phone. All I want to do is use the Mobile PhoneTools software, but my phone needs to be unlocked. I've found a few site that charge you to find out your subsidy code using your imei code, but none of them even have the codes for my phone. I'm not even sure what to do with it once I get it.
With our diverse membership there's has to be someone that can help me out with this, please.

Nope. I think you're confused on what locked/unlocked means, but thanks.
really? I don't think so.. on my phone.. keeping it locked makes it only able to use certain cell phone companies networks.. GSM and such. Unlocking it allows it to take advantage of all bands... my treo can be used for sprint, tmobile, whomever.. perhaps different definitions of "unlocked"

yep, thats the right definition. thats nice that your phone can be used for different providers, most phones have to uses a special "code" to unlock it

You've got a great phone there then because I've never heard of any other phone that will unlock for you just like that. Did you buy it from Palm, or your service provider?

I don't think cingular has the v180. I'm pretty sure tmobikle is the only one. Cingular's phone come unlocked. Unlocknow.com with send a code to ur phone that'll unlock it.

You might want to let Cingular know they shouldn't have gave me that v180 then.
If you do some research you'll find that the v180 doesn't support remote unlocking.
Dojo, ever feel like you're going in circles saying the same things? If I come across any info that can help you, I'll let you know.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
