Welp, I locked my keys in the car, and there is like a 1/4 of an inch of snow on the ground, and I dont feel like fidgeting around in the cold trying to get it unlocked, looks like i'll be staying in tonight. Anybody have a good suggestion to getting the doors unlocked? I had a meter stick all the way in there, and on top of the lock button, I even got it pressed down, but they wouldnt unlock. Any ideas?

I locked mine by mistake one night while unloading all of my fire gear. I had taken the door panel off a few times for speakers so I knew where the lock was. I went inside the firehouse and got our slim jim and popped the door in a matter of seconds. It's very easy to do you just have to try.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

if you use the remote to lock it then you cannot use the switch to un lock it for some reason. noticed it with mine.95 Firebird
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250
http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/

me on a good day------> linky

DO any of you guys own F-bodies? $50 for a AAA?
-1 flathead screwdriver
-meter stick(since you have one)
-a screw
CAREFULLY use flat head screw driver to pull the window away from the frame a little. Grab it with your fingers. Put handled of the screwdriver, in between the window and the roof of the car to prop it open.
Get meter stick or other type of stick, put a screw in the end of it, at a 90 degree angle, make sure its a little secure. Reach down in the car, and use the screw to slide the lock over.
I use a stick used in banners at movie theatres, and they have screw in eye-bolts at the ends, I just move one of those, I think those are ideal(if you have one), since they are thinner, and longer then a meterstick.

Pressing the power lock/unlock button doesn't work.
You have to pry the window back and push the manual slide lock forward. I've done it with a coat hanger once. And also with a 2 ft screw driver once. Though the screw driver hurt because I had to wedge my arm in between the window and the roof.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A

you are going to want something with an L-shape, it makes it 10xs easier to get the manual slider lock, then with something straight. IF you have a long enough "straight" stick you can reach all the way across to the opposite door.
IF you can't do that, I once broke into my 94 with a thin pipe I found laying in the parking lot, I bent the edge, and got it in the window, and used it to "crank" my manual windo down till I could reach the lock. But you need manual windows for that.
