Like the subject line says, is anyone going anywhere for Christmas?
We are heading north (ok, north-ish, as in north Georgia) for Christmas. My youngest son has sent Santa a letter detailing where he'll be so Santa won't overlook him.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

We're driving up to Winterplace in West Virginia to do some skiing. Not quite as exciting as Vail last year, but should still be alot of fun.

Winterplace is like an hour from me. How long are you gonna be there? If you're travelling from Florida, you may as well drive a tad further to Snowshoe, WVa. Winterplace is alright for a local place, but I wouldnt recommend coming from Fla for it (esp. if you've been to Vail) Snowshoe is definitely a nice resort though, I'd check them out for sure if you're gonna be up for a couple days.
Anyways, as for me, I get to go home to Northern Virginia for xmas with my family. Then in early January I'm going snowboarding at Mt. Tremblant in Canada.

We went to Beech Mtn, Sugar Mtn, and Snowshoe 2 years ago. The main reason we're going to Winterplace this year is because it's easier/cheaper. We had to stay like 45 minutes from Snowshoe so we didn't have to pay so much. It sucked waking up early and having to drive 45 minutes to get to the mountain. We paid $200/night at Vail, so we're just looking for someplace cheaper this year. At Winterplace we can get a hotel 15 minutes away for $50/night.
Driving 1K miles to pick up my stepdaughters in Arkansas, then 1K miles right back to CO for two weeks, then the 2K mile round trip all over again! Good thing we love to drive! :D

I'm skipping xmas. I will be in my small salina kansas house eating corndogs and watching starwars or porn on xmas day.
Just a few days later, I will pack up and head back home to good ol' Washington DC.

You're not going to spend it with your girlfriend that you're considering marrying? Or is she off on some family thing?

Ditto that, my folks live 10 miles down the road in McLean. Swedish Christmas ham, glögg (heavy apple cider booze), and lingonberries!
