• Need advice buying LCD tv...

Hey people. Need a lil help right now... looking for an LCD tv with HD if its not TOO much money.

I have a small room that is about 10X10 and right now there is a little 13inch tv/vcr combo in there. When its being watched, the viewer is about 5-6 ft away.

Basically I would like a 23 inch or 27inch in here... want to play video games on it as well (xbox, dreamcast lol, and xbox 360). Anyone have any recommendations? I heard about some tvs that lag when playing games.

I also want one that isnt very thick or heavy and possibly i will mount it on a wall someday.

LCD and not too much money don't belong in the same sentence.

You can litterally twice the size TV if you went with a CRT display.

But if you have your heart set on LCD, be prepared to spend major coin. A quick look for the size you want puts them at around $1400. You'd almost be better off getting a larger plasma display for a little more if you want a thin display.

Your cheapest route, whatever kind of display you buy, would be to buy an HDTV monitor(regular tv without an HD tuner), then buy an HD reciever (the HD tuner) seperatly.

I was looking at the HD tuners as well... thats an option

we were looking at them for a while, and we decided in the end it wasnt worth it. we ended up spending virtually nothing... 200 dollars for a 32 inch no-name brand (konka) flat screen with all the goodies. its been great!

I bought that model above. 23 inch, enough inputs for whatever I have to hook to it and I guess i will get an HDTV tuner if I need it later. BTW that was the lowest price i could find on the net.
