250 for a dx 8 card? um sorry, NO. Nvidias only good cards are the NV4X cards, the previous gen was hardly a dx9 card, they did not support all dx9 functions, and are pieces of crap, ATI all they way, the 9800 will trounce any NV3X card in DX9 HANDS DOWN, and dont even bring up Doom 3 cause its OpenGL, which sucks compared to DX9 (more flaming) anyone who argues against this is a doo doo head [img]smile.gif[/img] ATI@AMD, think they start with A for a reason, for A+ [img]smile.gif[/img] lol [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/bowdown.gif[/img]
and you should be able to pick a 9800 at Newegg.com for about 160, they are pretty cheap right now, btw its what i have and i LOVE it

Well, I just built a new system and have a NVidia card. I would have preferred Radeon, but hey, The whole system cost me nothing (mate sorted me out with parts for helping him out with some DIY)
I'm happy with the NVidia card, but then my System board is also running a NVidia chipset.

The man wants a suggestion on a card, why the heck do you go and recommend something else? He's not ignorant, he's done his research and knows his price range, why offer something outlandish? It's rediculous :mad:
