I wanted a car with flip up headlights and t-tops (I'd settle for a conv. [img]smile.gif[/img] ) That was replaced when I *cringe* got into the ricer mentality, and almost got a Del Sol, then ALMOST got a Probe GT. I always loved, and probably always will, a 3000GT VR-4 / Spyder. It wasn't until I got into a friends (which happens to be mine now, lol) Camaro.. haven't looked back since.

Also, just to clarify, I still do want t-tops and flip up headlights. My ultimate plan is a '02 Trans Am WS6.

My mom had a marlboro red 67 stingray - it was gorgeous - it was her dream car she finally bought in her late 30s - but something went wrong in the steering that caused it to crash and flip with my stepdad in it - top down - we're just happy he's alive! gorgeous car though - i never got to drive it :(

I remember in elementry school seeing a red 3rd gen f-body (I think it was a camaro, can't remember now) with T-tops and the two guys in it were taking them off while stoped at an intersection (I guess they put them in the back seat?). I remember thinking that was the coolest thing I'd seen. Between 8-10th grade I wanted a Jeep Wrangler (my grandpa used to have a CJ-7 or 8 - can't remember now, but I remember havign a lot of fun in that jeep). I met a guy in hs who was obsessed with camaro's and because of him I got hooked.

I didn't know what things were called when I was a kid.. I just now became a "car guy" now that I'm looking for a car and have done insane amounts of research over the past month or so.

I definately have always been infatuated with sports cars.. I didn't know what was under the hood but show me a cool looking car and I liked it. Still got a bit of that kid in me I supposed [img]tongue.gif[/img]
