this is the saddest day in the history of heavy metal. does anyone know what happened to vinnie? i read that two band members were shot but i dont know who the second one is and they havent released the name of the fifth person that was killed. he was without a doubt the best guitarist of the 90's he will be missed by metalheads all over the world.

happened right down the street from me at hte alrosa villa. guy walked in to the concert, up to the stage, shot 3 on stage i think and 2 in the crowed? mabey 4 on stage 1 in crowd. cop shot the perp.
I'm not a metalhead, but its a sad day whenever somthing like this happens :(
I was just listening to pantera and damageplan on the way to school.

Pantera is my favorite band of all time. Mouth for War is the song that made we want to join the Marines. Thier melodic mayhem poisoned my brain at a very young age, and it helped to shape me into the cold, ruthless killing machine I am today.
If they are gone, I am not going to turn into an average wuss, am I? No band has ever come close to being as cool as they are. Modern Metal bands just scream and shout; they don't have the vast musical talent that pantera had. Dimebag always amazed me with his solos. He could play off-key, and out of scale, and still make it sound awsome.

a guy got on stage and shot Dimebag, who lives right down the street from me believe it or not, it was in Columbus Ohio, i think, and it has been on 102.1 the EDGE all day. This is truely a sad day. He was such a cool guy, ive got a few autographs from him and he bought my best friends guitar at the local Guitar Center while we were there, i used to talk to him quite a bit, and he was also a member the country club im a member at. and sorry 95batmobile, i didnt pay attention to your link to the story but oh well. Vinny Paul is ok i think though, but still...

Yeah, I met dimebag a few times. Its very sad, actually last time i saw them me and a buddy got into it with damage plans security for getting too close when they were signing **** at hooters. I have some pics with him we took at a pantera concert a few years back. Hope hes in a better place with nowell, hendrix and williams
