well, I never gotten any calls from LMPerfomance and my car was misfireing like crazy. Plus I didn't feel like paying for shipping to them back and then ordering another set, losing total of around 30$ just in shipping... so I just descided to go ahead and put 90 degree boots with some plastic insulators, which are the same kind for stock wires where wires run through the block under the alternator... well... I had em for about 24 hours and plastic insulators already melted to sh*t... I'm expecting around 1-2 weeks service life from these wires, due to the fact that they are just f*ucking wrong wires for 3800 series II engine... I'm tryin to pick up some 1000F heat sleeves for them, maybe to extend their life to a month or so.. but yeh, thanks to LMPerfomance, a broke college student is out of 70$... you think I'll buy sh*t from them again? umm i just put the 90 on my car today and with the extra wire i do see how your friing the boost ummm i ran mine under the headers and up to the plugs. but i will keep an eye outwww.turbov6camaro.com

Would a stright boot wire with a Multi-angle connector work better where you could bend them the way that you need to? MSD 8 mm wires?
W/ 90 degree boots?
I run them with NO problems.
It was VERY difficult to get them to click on to spark plugs and coil packs, but I got therm on there.
No heat issues either.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

did you guys put boot up or down? you can't put boot down on 2000 and above due to tubular manifolds... boot up just lays wires right on the engine, the hottest part of it... any other advice how I can prolong the life of these wires? Acutally.. anyone wants to buy them? They still work and if they will work for you I'll be happy to sell em to you.

Guys remember he has tubular manifolds so it will be different then you guys with non-tubular manifolds.
Way I did mine. Straight boot. pluged and and the wire goes DIRECTLY straight away from the motor and anything hot then loops up and goes up to the coils.
1,000* msd sleeving, I have had mine on for 4 monthss 6,000 no problems, in wonderful sunny fl

Didn't we discuss this in a different thread? 90* boots work fine on all of our cars. 99- manifolds, 00+ manifolds, all aftermarket headers. I say this with 100% certainty.
Operator error. Learn how to install plug wires again instead of blaming someone else.. :rolleyes:
