i pay $156/ month on my '00 GTP. Full coverage and $500 deductible. and i have 2 tickets on my record still. One will be off next summer but the other i just got a few months ago Shouldn't have been speedin'.lol I'm through American Family. They screwed me when i had my Camaro but when i turned 19 i got a huge drop in rates and when i turned 21 again a big drop. They wouldn't insure me for a GTP when i was 19 though. Said the HP/weight ratio was to high. And i was lookin' into a V8 at that time. They would have laughed at me.

anyone have any htoughts? or have a better price that they recieve? that is with the good student discount
This is Shelley. (I'm not allowed to log James out)
I do insurance for a living. Try looking at some of your local insurance companies. A lot of them offer lower prices because they are a smaller company. Like there is a company around here called AIC. Esurance is good as well. They are rated an A with AM Best Company. Most insurance companies (if you are on your own policy) will not even offer a quote if you don't have 3 years of driving experience. And if you have more than 3 years and have a bad record be prepared to pay, ever for liability only. Good student discounts really aren't that much anyway.

Oh! Another thing... go get married and your rates will drop.
If you go with full coverage your best bet is $500 comp/ $500 collision deductibles (depending on your state requirements). This may make your payment a little higher, but its better than paying out the butt when you get an accident and you have to pay to fix your car then.
