im honestly sick of the retro crap, if companies keep feeding this stuff to all the old people and it sells well, they will have no [word/?encouragment] to make a new looking model to keep up with the sexy future look. they will just keep making old retro crap... which is only cool for about a few seconds

Welcome to the world of business. A business exsists to make money for the owner/s. Period.
If retro sells, that is what gets made.
The new GTO isn't retro. And it is a slow seller. And you know what happens to cars that don't sell well.
I really dont care about the gto, it looks like a economy car like every other pontiac... grand prix ,grand am and every other car they make that all look exactly the same.
\"Well, we don\'t care how bad-*** some dude\'s N/A Honda S2000 motor is; if you go up against 900+ pushrod ponies and 750 pounds of earth-shaking torque with a wrong-wheel-drive econobox, you\'re gonna get a fast and furious old-school ***-whipping.\"
You know what I'm tired of? "I don't like how it looks" Screw that, how does it PERFORM? Everyone so caught up in looks, sheesh. I'd rather drive a rustbucket that goes like stink than a badass car that runs like a go-kart.

you know, you could make a square brick car fast, and when I look for a car, it has to look good.
if it looks anything like that, GM can just go **** themselves, I'll buy something else.

I totally agree with you though. If that thing hauls, I'll buy it. Looks good enough to me.
LMAO, no no no... The Neon isn't the go-fast vehicle in the family, silly man! :D
But if anyone can't tell, doesn't it seem like some people are being hypocritical? Some people dog on ricers for the "all show, no go" issue, but then say they won't buy a car unless it looks good... Hmmmm... ;)

:sigh:
educate yourself before you speak.
the GTO, back in the day, wasn't a sports car. it was a tempest body with a bigger engine in it. yeah, it was fast and cool, but it was never the ultimate sporty, cool car. it was just another daily driver car back then that happened to have a bigger engine. so why would they make it into a really sleek muscle-ish sports coupe when it never was?
If you think the GTO isn't selling well, check again. In recent months, the GTO is selling at the rate of 30,000 cars per year. Which is a lot considering the factory in Australia puts out only 18,000 per year.
