• Torker II vs. RPM Air Gap

Currently I'm running a Torker II manifold, but I am thinking about picking up an Air Gap. I have heard awesome things about the Air Gap, and I really do not care for my Torker II. I really am not sure why the previous owner went with the Torker II, but personally I hate it. I have seen it do some crazy things...
Anyways, I just want to get everyone's opinion on the RPM Air Gap. I just want to know how much of a difference I will see going from a single plane setup, to a dual plane manifold. Another thing I'm worried about is clearance issues, because it says that it will not fit under stock hood of Corvettes. I do not have a stock big block hood, but a reproduction 67 427 hood. If it will not fit, I might have to pick up a low profile air cleaner. All opinions are welcome, thanks.

I'm not feeling to great, so please excuse any mistakes I have made.

If you had a Poncho mill you wouldn't need an Air Gap* manifold ;)

I'm one of those who know that cabs aren't just some you cut back on to lose weight. You also have a Demon carb on the beast also (gee whiz for those who haven't been to his cardomain site) . Edelcrotch should have the dimensions of the manifolds on their websight, w/the the back usually being slightly higher than the front. That should give you the cheese you're currently looking for.

I checked the dimensions, but I'm still sort of skeptical. Im not sure if I should go with a low profile air cleaner or not. I dont want to if I dont have to.

I have the RPM air gap on my truck (which is pointless really because it runs between idle and 4,000rpms, not 2500-6000 like the air gap is designed for) and it has pretty damn good amount of low end grunt, and pulls like a monster above 2500rpms. Then fuel shuts off at 4k and I have to figure out how to adjust that.

I have to say thumbs up on the RPM A.G., but am not sure if you'll really see any (or at least enough) real world difference to make the trouble of switching them out worth your time.

Good luck.
