• Radar Scramblers... your experience?

I was looking at this one.. I'll have some dough left over after some mods and I figure after I buy a shiny black sports car I'm going to be a serious target for cops.

What do you think? Some people say these things are totally bogus, it seems legit, but I can't find any reviews. I've talked to a cop who said they don't really work but of course he would say that... he doesn't want to spread news that it DOES work.

Also takin' a look at this thing, but it's stinking expensive and it only jams lasers... not radar too:

Anyone?

I'm not willing to blow that much dough. I figure a good detector will be enough.

This site has been great for my research. Check out this article... VERY current... written July 1st:

The RX65 looks awesome and is cheap compared to some of these overblown ineffective systems.

...and check the site owner's credentials http://www.radartest.com/radartest.pdf pretty impressive eh?

I've done tons of research and the results are in!

THINGS TO KNOW:
- In order of preference, the beltronics BEL Pro RX65, the Escort Passport 8500 X50, and the Valentine One. Anything else and you probably don't have a very good detector.

Read:
http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleid=9090
and
www.speedzones.com
for where I got much of my info

- ALL Passive radar jammers are a crock, and TOTALLY fraudulent in their claims.
- Some active jammers work, but are illegal and very expensive (600+)
- Anything from Rocky Mountain Radar is COMPLETE CRAP and DOES NOT work as advertised. This includes all jammers and scanners. The scanners kinda work, but with extreme craptitude

AND

BOY I WISH THESE WERE LEGAL!

haha, then I wouldn't have to take the right turn lane, go down the road a bit, and do a U-turn when it's rush-hour . A good trick for when the line extends to almost the highway. I always gain 2 lights or more on those suckas
