          Re: Computer People....

well i downloaded it, and i burned the iso to a disk. i put it in my other machine and it says there is a problem. might be a bad disk, i just had to work, and then watch the alabama game. ill try it again here soon.

i cant figure out the problem. when i try to install it inside windows and run it like a program, it throws me a window about permission is denied. then when i try to install it in a partition it tells me that is an error reading the boot cd. could it be a problem with my boot disk? or maybe i burned it wrong?

i used infarecorder to burn the image. that part is pretty straight forward, just run the program and click burn image, then select what you want to burn. i just clicked on what i downloaded. i tried extracting the files (i use winrar) to a folder and still no go. im on google right now looking for answers.

I wouldnt install within Windows. Boot from the CD at startup. Also when you burn the image, burn at a low rate, usually no more than 4x...

no go. i burned a copy at 8x, the slowest my program goes, and it still says a prblem with the boot disk.

if you think the write speed is screwing it up, try this:

                    http://www.imgburn.com/

i've used it a bunch and it always works for me. and you can burn at 1x

Also try upgrading the firmware for your burner. Thats corrected some of my issues before..

New problem. i opened an email that had a virus in it. I got the virus cleared but i think (not sure if it was me or the virus) something got deleted that i need. When i turn on my computer, it goes to the log in screen and i click my "owner" icon it reads "loggin in" then immediately does the log off sound and reads "saving your settings" and will not do anyhting else.

Sounds like you cant get in at all?

Have you tried using recovery discs that came with your PC?
